Job description
Role Overview
We are inviting applications for multiple Traffic Management Operatives to support contract work across South West England, reporting to a depot in Staverton, Devon. This is a full-time permanent position involving temporary traffic management tasks such as setting up and taking down traffic control measures. The role offers guaranteed 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, with shifts during the day and night. Night shifts rotate from 19:00 to 06:00 and are compensated at an enhanced rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and dismantle temporary traffic management systems.
- Transport and upkeep of equipment like temporary traffic signals and road closures.
- Maintain the job site and report incidents or near misses promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors.
- Perform daily inspections on vehicles to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper condition for driver and passengers.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid TTMBC qualification and 12D modules (M1, M2, M5) certifications.
- Additional certifications 12AB and/or 12C are beneficial; training provided if required.
- Proven experience in traffic management or a related maintenance role.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a positive, proactive mindset.
- A full UK driving license.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
