About the Role
Join Ventia's Defence Maintenance team based in Townsville, Queensland, and contribute to keeping the Australian Defence Force’s equipment operational. In this position as a Tradesperson Assistant, you will support maintenance activities focusing on the fitting of tyres and other related tasks for a range of Defence vehicles and assets.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled trades personnel with diverse workshop jobs.
- Support maintenance operations and control storeroom duties.
- Ensure the workspace is always clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate plant and equipment, provided you hold the necessary qualifications and licenses.
Requirements
- Possession of a current manual open Driver’s License (C class).
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude, able to complete tasks independently.
- Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Experience in tyre fitting activities.
- High Risk Work license with forklift competency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

- Hourly pay rate of $34.29 plus Superannuation.
- Standard 38-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with early finish at 12 pm on Fridays.
