Role summary
The Trade Planning and Insights Analyst supports growth across Blount’s owned and licensed CPG brands by turning data into practical business recommendations. This position partners with Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, and outside partners to improve trade investment decisions, strengthen category strategy, and build persuasive customer-facing narratives. The role is centered on syndicated data, trade performance analysis, and insights that help drive return on investment.
Work location
This is a fully onsite position based in Warren, Rhode Island.
Key responsibilities
The analyst will review category performance, promotional activity, and assortment and pricing trends for assigned accounts. They will translate shopper and market data into sell-in stories, identify opportunities and competitive trends, and share findings with Sales, Marketing, and Forecasting teams. The role also includes building dashboards and sales support materials, monitoring trade spend and forecast performance, and serving as a resource for trade planning, allocation, and ROI analysis. In addition, the analyst will help evaluate promotion effectiveness and promotional fatigue, and create standardized reporting frameworks for consistent performance measurement across brands.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of related experience, ideally in brand management or category management within a CPG company. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, able to combine multiple data sources into clear recommendations, and comfortable using advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills are needed, along with familiarity with grocery, mass, and club channels. Prior retail CPG sales experience is considered an advantage.
Compensation and benefits
The role includes a total compensation package with medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) plan with company match; paid vacation, sick time, and holidays; education assistance; life insurance; short-term disability; product discounts at the company retail location; and a discretionary annual bonus program.
