Tracking Officer (GPS Fleet and Logistics Tracking)

About the Position

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Tracking Officer to join our team in Benin City, Edo State. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates who have strong numerical and organizational skills and an affinity for data management and tracking technologies. The main responsibility is to oversee the monitoring of company vehicles and goods in transit using GPS and connected tracking tools to enhance logistics operations.

Key Duties

• Observe and manage real-time locations of fleet vehicles through GPS tracking systems.
• Monitor the movement and whereabouts of shipments from dispatch points to final delivery.
• Identify any irregularities such as unauthorized stops, route changes, delays, or unusual vehicle activities.
• Maintain precise records of vehicle journeys, mileage stats, and delivery schedules.
• Detect and report inconsistencies like delayed arrivals, lost items, or routing breaches.
• Prepare regular movement and fleet reports for the management team on daily, weekly, and monthly intervals.
• Liaise with drivers, dispatchers, warehouses, and logistics personnel to ensure tracking data accuracy.
• Assist with investigations related to missing shipments, vehicle downtime, or delivery challenges by analyzing tracker data.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is mandatory.
• Preferably with academic background in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any branch of Engineering.
• No prior professional experience needed; candidates new to the workforce are encouraged to apply.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
• Comfortable navigating GPS tracking software and dashboards; training will be provided if necessary.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep meticulous records.
