About the Company
Our client is a prominent residential development firm engaged in both high- and low-density housing schemes across the Greater Dublin Area (GDA). They seek a Town Planner with strong expertise in residential projects coupled with project management and delivery capabilities.
Role Overview
The position is ideal for a motivated and ambitious Town Planner with experience working for a developer, planning consultancy, or local government bodies. Exposure to master planning is highly desirable. The appointed candidate will play a crucial role in handling planning application procedures and aiding development proposals for private developers, and potentially some public sector clients. Reporting to the Head of Planning, the role entails managing daily tasks involved in planning applications, while strategically overseeing residential planning submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams on diverse projects, managing various scales and complexities with effective organizational skills.
- Oversee external design teams and their deliverables to align with project timelines.
- Apply extensive knowledge of planning and environmental regulations throughout project processes.
- Conduct development planning, feasibility assessments, environmental planning, and manage submission of planning applications, appeals, and relevant documents.
Skills and Qualifications
- Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in the planning sector.
- Hold an accredited degree or qualification in Town Planning and be a member of the IPI and/or RTPI, or an equivalent body.
- Exhibit excellent communication, organizational, and presentation abilities.
- Be driven, ambitious, commercially savvy, and skilled in cultivating key business and stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient with MS Office, GIS software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Must have a full driving license and own access to a car.
