Work Schedule and Location
This full-time permanent position requires working 10+ hours per day, including Saturdays and Sundays as needed. Scheduling aligns with operational needs, with overtime applicable after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. The work location is at 9175 - 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB. Note that there is no direct access to public transportation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the inventory of tools, conducting inspections to ensure all equipment is functional.
- Unload and load materials and tools, performing inspections on all incoming items.
- Keep accurate records of tool and equipment usage through the designated tracking system.
- Monitor all issued personal protective equipment (PPE) and equipment for cost tracking.
- Identify tools and equipment using appropriate identification tags.
- Report any discrepancies related to materials or tools immediately to the Parts Manager.
- Maintain the security and organization of the tool crib area at all times.
- Ensure the workspace remains clean and orderly.
- Prepare requisitions for replenishing inventory when stock levels are low.
- Properly handle, sort, and prepare tools required for work assignments.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Tool Crib Attendant.
- Experience with Toolhound software is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is required.
- Experience working with heavy equipment is an asset.
- Possession of a reliable personal vehicle.
- CSA approved steel-toed boots with 6-inch ankle support are mandatory.
Pre-employment Conditions
- Must successfully pass a swab-based drug and alcohol test.
- Completion of company and site-specific orientation sessions is required.
- Fitness to Work assessment must be fulfilled.
- Completion of mandatory mask fit testing.
