Overview
Intelligence Federal, a rapidly expanding federal contractor recently recognized as one of the 2024 Best Places to Work in Washington, DC by the Washington Business Journal, is seeking an experienced Title/Realty Specialist to support a federal government agency. This full-time role offers eligibility for company benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and evaluate documents and acquisition packages related to easement program enrollments and acquisitions.
- Analyze land ownership documentation and title commitments in detail.
- Provide comprehensive title review reports and summaries from real property records searches as well as title commitments.
- Identify, categorize, and assess each title exception to determine if it is acceptable, requires removal, or subordination.
- Create or review title evidence packages thoroughly.
- Conduct searches of real property records both online and in person to identify property interests encumbering current or prospective easements.
Security Requirements
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Must hold U.S. citizenship.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least five years of experience in title processing.
- Experience working with government agencies is advantageous.
- Extensive expertise reviewing title searches, reports, and summaries.
- In-depth knowledge of title exceptions and remediation of title defects.
- Familiarity with title commitments and preparation/review of title packages.
- Experience performing real property record searches to identify encumbrances.
- Strong background with easements and real property acquisition processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a professional team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
