Role Overview

As a Timekeeper based in Edmonton, Alberta, you will play a key role in accurately inputting and submitting timecards, ensuring adherence to government regulations, labor agreements, and company policies to support our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Precisely input and balance timecards.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including document verification.
  • Set up new employee information in PCL systems and send onboarding packages to headquarters.
  • Maintain filing and organization of all project payroll documentation.
  • Safeguard confidentiality of payroll data.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Build and sustain strong customer-focused relationships throughout the project team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma required.
  • Some cooperative education or experience related to timekeeping or payroll is advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to handle documentation and deadlines efficiently.
  • Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Discretion with confidential information is essential.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedules and travel to the site when necessary.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite fundamentals.
