Role Overview
This position sits within the E-commerce Governance and Experience team, which focuses on keeping the marketplace safe, reliable, and trusted while preserving a smooth buying journey for customers. In this role, you will shape and run content governance standards for TikTok Shop, helping protect platform integrity while supporting business growth. The work blends policy, product, and enforcement, with a focus on building the systems that determine how content risk is detected, ranked, and addressed across international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Study emerging content risk patterns across the platform, determine what should be prioritised, and turn findings into practical policy actions.
- Create enforcement structures such as severity levels, escalation workflows, and moderator support tools so compliance actions remain consistent and appropriately scaled. Define core quality standards that strengthen trust, integrity, and overall content quality.
- Lead policy rollout for overseas e-commerce operations, making sure moderation, product, and business teams are prepared to execute. Align standards across regions while balancing global consistency with local regulations and cultural differences.
- Review current policies on an ongoing basis, spot weaknesses and unusual cases, and drive improvement plans through to completion. Work with business operations teams to understand how policy choices affect commercial outcomes.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in online risk, content health and safety, content operations, trust and safety, internet safety, ecosystem health, or a closely related area.
- A genuine interest in content policy, trust and safety, e-commerce integrity, or governance for social media platforms.
- The ability to reason carefully and help shape clear, fair, and scalable policies.
- Comfort working with cross-functional partners such as Policy, Product, Legal, and Operations.
- Data-driven thinking with the ability to identify trends, support decisions, and improve processes.
- Strong adaptability in a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities.
- Helpful background includes work with e-commerce platforms, online marketplaces, or social media content systems.
- Prior exposure to content moderation, platform governance, risk management, or enforcement operations is beneficial.
- Experience contributing to cross-functional projects or process improvement efforts is a plus.
- Experience in trust and safety, e-commerce, policy, operations, or related disciplines is advantageous.
