Position Overview

We are looking to hire a Threat Management & Investigations Analyst who will play an essential role in daily operations aimed at protecting clients, content, and intellectual property. This position focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating emerging threats by utilizing intelligence analysis, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and investigative techniques. The analyst will provide actionable insights to assist security teams and other partners in making informed safety and business decisions.

The role involves developing and enhancing monitoring strategies across social media, deep web, and dark web using industry-leading intelligence platforms such as Liferaft and Ontic. Candidates should have strong analytical abilities, expertise in threat dynamics, investigative experience, technical skills, and the capability to translate complex data into clear intelligence.

This is a full-time role working fully remotely, with required availability during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee intelligence platform vendors and resources like Ontic and Liferaft, continually improving source coverage and intelligence gathering processes.
  • Design and sustain monitoring approaches across social media, open sources, deep web, and dark web to detect emerging risks affecting clients, content, and intellectual property.
  • Develop, adjust, and implement intelligence collection requirements, search queries, and monitoring methods to facilitate proactive threat identification.
  • Provide due diligence, background investigations, and investigative support alongside internal teams and security groups.
  • Maintain and update the Person of Interest database with accurate documentation and ensure consistent communication across regional security teams.
  • Analyze gathered intelligence to recognize patterns, evaluate potential threats, and create actionable reports and briefings for executive audiences.
  • Support risk assessments and targeted violence evaluations using structured judgment frameworks and assessment methodologies.
  • Investigate matters related to physical security, content security, and intellectual property incidents, including evidence collection and detailed reporting.
  • Collaborate with international security groups, law enforcement, and cross-departmental teams to aid in threat mitigation and incident responses.
  • Escalate rising threats and security concerns promptly while managing sensitive information confidentially.

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in private sector intelligence focused on threat management, protective intelligence, investigations, or risk analysis.
  • Advanced expertise in open-source intelligence (OSINT), social media intelligence (SOCMINT), research in public records, and methods for deep and dark web investigations.
  • Familiarity with intelligence platforms and threat monitoring tools, including Ontic and Liferaft or equivalents.
  • Proficiency in conducting threat assessments and applying structured professional judgment guides for assessing targeted violence risks.
  • Strong investigative capabilities, able to perform comprehensive, objective inquiries.
  • Experience preparing intelligence products such as analytic reports, executive summaries, and threat briefings tailored for varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with global teams, law enforcement, and external security partners.
  • Experience supporting security functions in technology, media, entertainment, or other prominent sectors is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, translating complex intelligence into accessible recommendations.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in pressure-filled settings while maintaining sound judgment and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology, International Relations/Political Science, Forensic Science, Psychology, Law, or related disciplines.
