  • Conduct tests strictly following established standards and procedures.
  • Supervise post-test assessments of materials, tools, and components with thorough documentation and traceability.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize CAM programs for complex test setups, tooling configurations, and customer-specific needs.
  • Utilize advanced metrology instruments such as CMMs, 3D tool scanners, and hardness testers for detailed post-test inspections.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify engineering trends or irregularities to guide product improvement and cross-team decisions.
  • Compile detailed technical reports outlining findings, analytical approaches, and recommendations.
  • Oversee lab operations including equipment upkeep, procurement of tooling and fixtures, and test scheduling.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in testing processes, lab organization, and safety compliance.
  • Stay current with tooling and machining technology trends by engaging in industry events, studies, and research.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in reliability engineering, ideally in tooling, precision components, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proficient in CAM programming tools such as MasterCAM and NX; strong CNC operations knowledge.
  • Experience with tool grinding software like ToolStudio and VGPro is advantageous.
  • Proven capacity to manage complex testing projects with great attention to detail.

Work Location

This is a remote position, but candidates should reside within reasonable driving distance of one of Harvey Performance’s U.S. facilities with testing labs—either in Gorham, ME, or Meridian, ID—to support occasional onsite collaboration and project work.
