Role overview
This night-shift store colleague role is centered on supporting customers, keeping the store running smoothly, and handling a variety of day-to-day retail tasks. The work is active and varied, and it suits someone who enjoys helping people, working as part of a team, and contributing to store performance.
Working hours and availability
The usual availability expected for this position is across the night window on Sunday, Monday, and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Your contracted hours will be placed within these windows, and you will receive three weeks’ notice of your exact shift times. The employer also notes that if your availability is close to, but not exactly the same as, the advertised window, you are still encouraged to apply.
The standard offer for new joiners is a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. There may also be opportunities for fewer hours, down to a minimum of 12 hours per week.
Pay and additional compensation
The hourly starting pay is £13.28. For stores located within the M25, the rate rises to £14.55 per hour. Any work performed between midnight and 6:00 AM attracts an extra night premium of £2.35 per hour. Depending on the location, further payments may also be applicable.
