Job description
Role overview
DB Breweries is looking for a full-time, permanent Territory Manager based in Christchurch, with routine travel to the West Coast. This is a practical, field-based sales role that combines account management, customer relationships, merchandising, and stock handling across a mix of on-premise and retail channels.
About the company
DB Breweries is part of the global HEINEKEN family, operating within a large international brewing network across 70 countries. The culture values individuality, shared ideas, learning, and growth, guided by four core principles: passion for consumers and customers, care for people and planet, enjoyment of life, and courage to innovate.
Work location and scope
You will be based in Christchurch, where you will manage local accounts on a day-to-day basis. The role also requires regular travel to the West Coast, which is approximately a three-hour drive from Christchurch. Your territory will include Christchurch and surrounding areas, plus on-premise customers such as bars, pubs, and restaurants on the Coast, along with traditional retail accounts in Christchurch.
Key responsibilities
The position involves growing sales and maintaining strong customer relationships across your assigned territory. You will also support promotional activity, improve product visibility, increase distribution, and help deliver strong commercial results for customers and internal teams.
Additional information
This is an active role and may involve collecting, lifting, and physically moving stock when required. DB Breweries is offering a range of employee benefits and promotes an inclusive workplace with a strong emphasis on wellbeing, fair pay, and support for employees.
Benefits
The company provides several perks, including health, life, and income protection insurance, a 5% employer KiwiSaver contribution, a monthly allowance of beer, cider, RTDs, or alcohol-free drinks, discounted access to Star Hospitality venues, an extra paid day each year under Enjoyment of Life leave, generous parental leave support, free confidential counselling, digital wills, feminine hygiene products, retail discounts, and a commitment to pay equity initiatives.
Candidate profile
The employer is seeking someone with a hands-on attitude, a reliable and positive approach, and the ability to work well with a team. Comfort with physical work is important, and prior exposure to retail, hospitality, or the liquor sector would be useful. Experience in bottle stores or on-premise environments would be an advantage, and the role could suit an early-career candidate or recent graduate looking to step into FMCG or sales.
Application notes
Applicants do not need to meet every requirement to be considered. The employer is especially interested in candidates who bring energy, willingness to learn, and the right attitude. Recruitment agencies are not being considered for this vacancy.
