The Telstra Business Technology Centre (TBTC) network is a distinctive part of the Telstra Business Sales segment. With 25 physical centres across Australia, TBTC gives customers multiple ways to connect — in person, by phone, email, or video — while still having one dedicated Account Manager overseeing their needs. This creates a unique environment for someone interested in business account management.
Role overview
In this Account Manager position within TBTC, you will build strong customer relationships, manage a defined portfolio of accounts, and help deliver technology solutions to small and medium businesses. The role plays an important part in sustaining customer loyalty and supporting the TBTC’s sales performance and reputation.
Work location: 199-201 High Street, Shepparton, VIC, 3630, Australia (on-site)
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage customer relationships within your portfolio to strengthen engagement, improve satisfaction, and support sales goals.
- Help execute segment and portfolio plans, including outbound calling activity, to retain customers and grow account value.
- Handle inbound and outbound sales and service interactions, identify opportunities, respond to questions, resolve concerns, and escalate more complex matters or leads when needed.
- Work closely with colleagues, the Field Sales team, and other internal stakeholders and partners to identify and assess sales leads.
- Support customer initiatives by maintaining account and portfolio plans that drive relationship development and help achieve revenue, profitability, NPS, and data quality targets.
- Deliver against individual and team sales and performance targets.
- Keep building your knowledge of Telstra’s products and business solutions through ongoing learning.
- Take part in coaching sessions and feedback discussions, whether one-to-one or in a group setting.
About you
- You have proven performance in ICT or telecommunications sales.
- You can connect with small and medium business customers and understand their operating needs.
- You understand how technology supports effective business operations.
- You have experience making both cold and warm calls and engaging existing or prospective customers.
- You can build lasting relationships through clear communication and reliable follow-up.
- You are open to coaching and want to keep developing with support from leaders.
