Role Overview
The position of New York Market Manager calls for a motivated and results-oriented professional to spearhead Bandero's growth across the state. The chosen individual will be instrumental in growing sales, supporting distributor efforts, securing new placements for the brand in bars, restaurants, retailers, and managing key accounts to foster lasting partnerships.
Ideal candidates will have deep connections within New York's hospitality and beverage industry, established relationships with crucial buyers, and the entrepreneurial drive required for building a premium spirits brand in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Bandero’s distribution partners to execute sales strategies and meet market objectives.
- Establish and nurture strong working relationships with distributor management and sales teams through meetings, presentations, and joint field activities.
- Encourage distributor teams to boost product placements, reorders, and overall sales success.
- Oversee distributor inventory levels, sales performance, and ensure activities align with Bandero's premium branding and sales targets.
- Leverage and expand existing networks to secure new on-premise and off-premise placements across the New York market including restaurants, bars, hotels, and retailers.
- Manage existing accounts to enhance reorder rates, menu visibility, promotional support, and develop tailored sales plans focusing on priority clients.
- Maintain a consistent presence in the market through regular site visits and proactive engagement with accounts.
- Act as a knowledgeable brand ambassador by conducting tastings, bar staff training, buyer presentations, and events that reinforce Bandero’s premium image.
- Educate distributors, retail teams, bartenders, and consumers about Bandero’s products and brand story.
- Identify and cultivate local sponsorships and events to raise brand visibility and consumer engagement.
- Monitor market dynamics including competitor activity, pricing strategies, promotions, and trends to inform sales and marketing strategies.
- Provide regular reporting on sales metrics, account activities, market opportunities, and competitive insights.
- Manage budgets responsibly and report accurately on expenses related to sales activities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated sales and brand management experience within the New York wine and spirits marketplace.
- Established relationships with key distributors, retailers, hospitality venues, and beverage buyers in New York.
- Experience successfully opening new accounts and growing existing business channels.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate distributor sales teams.
- Strong knowledge of New York's spirits market culture and important industry players.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational capabilities.
- Self-driven with the capability to independently manage a large, diverse territory.
- Adaptable to fast-moving, growth-oriented business environments.
