Job description

About the Company

de Mellow & Co is actively investing in AI and wider technology so the business can work more efficiently, reduce repetitive work, and free up more time for client-focused activity. The team is looking for fresh ideas and practical help to get more value from the tools already in place, while also staying aware of useful new developments.

This is a newly created role for someone who enjoys technology, likes learning quickly, and gets satisfaction from making systems and processes work better.

Role Overview

This position spans the wider business and involves working with different teams to understand how work gets done, where time is being lost, and how technology can improve day-to-day operations.

On some days, you will design AI-driven tools to support the business. On others, you may review workflows, improve data quality, or assess new software to decide whether it is worth introducing. You will also help embed improvements by producing straightforward guidance, supporting colleagues, and continuing to look for better ways of working.

Key Duties

  • Support the business in getting the most from AI tools and wider technology.
  • Develop and maintain internal AI solutions for different teams.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or simplify repetitive tasks.
  • Examine existing processes and suggest more efficient ways of working.
  • Improve the accuracy and consistency of business data.
  • Research emerging technologies and advise on what is genuinely useful to adopt.
  • Create easy-to-follow guides and training materials so colleagues can use new tools with confidence.
  • Track how AI tools are being used and refine them as the business continues to grow.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is curious, solution-oriented, and enthusiastic about the possibilities technology creates. You should enjoy learning, exploring new tools, and finding practical ways to make work easier and more effective.

We are especially interested in someone who is early in their career or a recent graduate, uses AI regularly, works in a structured and analytical way, and is comfortable engaging with colleagues to understand how they work. A proactive mindset and the ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish are important.

Experience in financial services is not required. The main priority is finding someone who enjoys learning and wants to contribute meaningfully to a growing business.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, the business should be making stronger use of AI and technology across multiple areas. Team members should feel confident using the available tools, processes should be more efficient, and less time should be spent on repetitive work so more attention can go to clients.

Candidate Fit

This role suits someone who likes improving systems, stays informed about new technology, and wants to help shape how a growing organisation operates.
