Role overview
This position is for a Technician to support operations at the Neste Singapore Refinery. The role is part of the Operations team and is centered on carrying out daily shift duties to help keep plant operations safe, stable, and dependable.
You will work in coordination with the Shift Supervisor, Deputy Shift Supervisor, and Operating Engineers to support reliable refinery operations. The role is part of a wider mission to help advance lower-carbon solutions and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Key duties
- Support safe and uninterrupted plant operations during shift work.
- Partner with Senior Technicians to track process conditions, safety matters, and any deviations from standards.
- Carry out field rounds to check for potential releases to air, land, or wastewater, and take preventive action where needed.
- Take process samples according to the routine schedule.
- Apply lockout/tagout procedures on equipment before maintenance work begins.
- Be prepared to work in confined spaces when required.
- Take part in permit-to-work activities, including cold work and hot work permits.
- Observe the condition of process equipment and facilities to help maintain high equipment availability.
- Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Keep operating areas clean and orderly.
Requirements
- A Higher Nitec in Chemical Process Technology, a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Recent graduates may apply, and training will be provided.
- Applicants without an equivalent engineering diploma may still be considered if they bring relevant experience.
Working conditions and application notes
This position involves shift duties on a 12-hour schedule following a 2-2-3 rotation pattern. The worksite is located in Tuas South, Singapore.
Transport pick-up and drop-off is available from selected MRT stations.
