Role Overview
Dexcom Athenry is looking to hire Technicians across Levels 1 to 3 for its weekend day shift. The shift involves 12-hour day shifts every Friday through Sunday, plus alternating Thursdays, following a repeating 4-on/3-off and 3-on/4-off schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute troubleshooting, testing, and checkout activities by interpreting schematics, diagrams, and technical plans.
- Perform tests on electro-mechanical assemblies using specialized test equipment.
- Work with pneumatic and electromechanical systems, PLCs, robotic systems in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Operate, test, and maintain robotic and vision inspection equipment.
- Analyze, document, and report test findings comprehensively.
- Carry out operational tests and isolate faults on automated machinery.
- Support equipment development tasks under project engineer supervision including assembly, testing, engineering studies, and validations.
- Comply with the company's Safety and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain and update technical documentation such as manuals, drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Candidate Profile
- Educational qualification typically at Level 6 or 7.
- Experience expectations: 0-2 years for Technician 1, 2-4 years for Technician 2, and 4-6 years for Technician 3 in related fields.
- Ability to interpret scientific and technical documentation related to equipment.
- Competence in drafting routine reports and effective communication with supervisors and engineering teams.
- Familiarity with PLCs, automated production/process equipment, pneumatics, electromechanical, and packaging systems is highly desired.
- Experience working on process improvement projects such as enhancing yield and minimizing downtime.
- Hands-on capability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of high-reliability, large-scale manufacturing equipment and related processes.
- Technical writing skills applicable to manufacturing documentation and process development.
