About the Role

Join Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aircraft engine design and manufacturing and a part of RTX, located in Singapore. This role involves refining aircraft engine components by polishing and surface preparation, supporting advanced manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives at the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out polishing operations on aircraft engine parts using bench equipment and handheld tools to achieve required quality standards.
  • Assist in surface preparation activities including blasting and finishing techniques.
  • Opportunity to be trained on new robotic technology machinery operation.
  • Actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs to maintain safe work practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement programs such as CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) and perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess "O" level or NITEC certification in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum two years of experience in machine operation or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Applicants with no prior experience but a strong interest in aerospace, including those changing career paths, are encouraged to apply.
  • Capability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Basic proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Comfortable with hands-on tasks and operating mechanical equipment and tools.
  • Motivated, proactive, and open to learning with a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including days and nights, and to undertake overtime when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and SAP software applications.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering sectors is advantageous.
