Technician Accountant - Credit and Collections

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Technician Accountant specializing in Credit and Collections, working closely with the administrative team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Opening accounts for new clients;
• Conducting credit investigation requests;
• Monitoring accounts receivable according to established credit limits and preparing monthly account statements;
• Communicating with clients to follow up on overdue payments;
• Preparing contract terminations;
• Tracking surety bonds;
• Preparing and submitting receipts and statutory declarations.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Holder of a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in accounting with at least five years of similar professional experience;
• Strong expertise in credit and collection procedures;
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles related to accounts receivable;
• Organized and methodical approach;
• Ability to work independently and proactively;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;
• Familiarity with the construction industry is an asset.
