Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Technician Accountant specializing in Credit and Collections, working closely with the administrative team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Opening accounts for new clients;
- Conducting credit investigation requests;
- Monitoring accounts receivable according to established credit limits and preparing monthly account statements;
- Communicating with clients to follow up on overdue payments;
- Preparing contract terminations;
- Tracking surety bonds;
- Preparing and submitting receipts and statutory declarations.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Holder of a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in accounting with at least five years of similar professional experience;
- Strong expertise in credit and collection procedures;
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles related to accounts receivable;
- Organized and methodical approach;
- Ability to work independently and proactively;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Familiarity with the construction industry is an asset.
