Role Summary
The Dortmund site is hiring a full-time Technical Support Specialist (m/f/d) to strengthen technical support for field service teams and contribute to service excellence across sites and international locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide second-level technical support to field service colleagues across sites and ensure the service escalation process is followed consistently.
- Work closely with Service Management to review, coordinate, and monitor escalated service cases.
- Identify and implement improvements that raise service quality and make processes more efficient in an international environment.
- Take initiative in building data-based analysis methods and support tools.
- Create, refine, and deliver technical training materials and sessions.
- Maintain service documentation and make sure relevant information is complete, accessible, and up to date.
- Contribute to development projects that help new products and technologies enter global service and support smoothly.
- Support projects and, when required, take the lead on them.
Candidate Profile
The role is suited to someone with an engineering or natural sciences degree, strong communication and planning skills, and a willingness to keep developing technically and methodologically. Experience with ultra-high vacuum and/or high-voltage components in a cleanroom is considered an advantage. The position also requires solid German and English skills, along with practical IT knowledge.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering or a natural science discipline.
- Several years of experience with ultra-high vacuum and/or high-voltage components in a cleanroom environment is a plus.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication abilities in both written and spoken German and English.
- Background in data science, ideally including statistical process control.
- Good working knowledge of office software, Linux, database management, and analysis tools.
- Confident, self-driven personality with a desire for continuous technical and methodological growth.
- Availability for occasional regional, international, and overseas business travel.
