About the Role
Our client, an engineering firm situated near Zug, Switzerland, is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to manage and oversee technical projects throughout Europe. This role involves both coordination and hands-on technical support across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise technical projects and maintenance activities on-site across European locations.
- Provide guidance and support to technicians and subcontractors directly at the operational sites, including hands-on involvement in repairs, maintenance, and emergency operations when necessary.
- Serve as the primary liaison for customers during both project implementation and emergency interventions.
- Oversee site activities encompassing documentation, reporting, and workflow coordination.
- Execute overhauls, repairs, routine maintenance, and commissioning tasks effectively.
- Coordinate operational shifts and technical tasks within manufacturing plants or workshops.
- Support emergency repair efforts and undertake travel independently or accompanied by an assistant.
Candidate Profile
- Completed vocational training in mechanical disciplines such as mechanic, fitter, metalworker, agricultural machinery mechanic, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant hands-on technical experience.
- Proven experience in coordinating technicians, shift operations, or workshop management.
- Capable of working autonomously with a responsible and solution-focused mindset.
- Comfortable interacting directly with clients and technical teams on-site.
- Strong technical expertise including welding, thermal cutting, mechanical assembly, and general maintenance knowledge.
- Fluency in both German and English languages is essential.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe, approximately 70% to 80% travel required.
