Job Overview

The Technical Sales Engineer will spearhead the promotion and sales of FUCHS Germany's high-grade industrial lubricants, greases, metalworking fluids, and specialized lubrication products to a variety of manufacturing sectors. This role demands a synergy of deep technical know-how and effective sales skills to understand customer needs, recommend optimal lubrication solutions, enhance equipment performance, and consistently meet sales objectives.

Main Duties

  • Develop and expand the customer base across industries such as Steel, Cement, Power, Mining, Automotive, Engineering, Food Processing, Textile, and Manufacturing.
  • Initiate new business opportunities via cold calls, site visits, and client meetings.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with current clients.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Prepare price quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize sales agreements.
  • Offer technical guidance by recommending the correct FUCHS lubricants tailored to equipment and operational needs.
  • Conduct lubrication system surveys and machinery inspections.
  • Assist clients with lubricant selection and facilitate product transitions.
  • Diagnose and resolve lubrication-related equipment problems.
  • Deliver product demos and technical presentations effectively.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with customers, address complaints promptly, and provide technical resolutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product deliveries.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to devise and implement sales strategies.
  • Participate actively in industrial exhibitions and customer seminars to promote new products and technologies.
  • Generate weekly sales reports, update CRM databases, forecast sales and inventory needs, and monitor collection efficiency.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1 to 2 years experience in selling industrial lubricants.
  • Preference for candidates with exposure to premium lubricant brands (e.g., FUCHS, Shell, Mobil, Castrol, TotalEnergies, BP/Castrol).
  • Solid understanding of industrial lubrication systems and products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and readiness for frequent travel.

Technical Expertise Required

  • Knowledge of a variety of lubricants such as hydraulic, gear, compressor, turbine, heat transfer, transformer oils, and metalworking fluids.
  • Understanding of greases, food-grade lubricants, synthetic lubricants, oil analysis, condition monitoring, tribology, and lubrication engineering.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.

  • Effectiveness in product conversions and maintaining gross margins.
