Key Accountabilities

• Act as the foremost technical authority on Shopify, assessing implementation proposals and selecting optimal approaches—ranging from Shopify's native features, third-party integrations, to custom builds.
• Maintain comprehensive operational insight into the entire e-commerce stack, integrating systems including ERP, customer service, subscription management, analytics, and technical infrastructure.
• Partner with diverse teams to enhance operational workflows, improve tracking mechanisms, and ensure platform reliability and performance.
• Champion customer-focused product strategies by balancing technical viability, user experience, and commercial goals to define and deliver solutions.
• Track site performance metrics, identify areas for enhancement, and suggest upgrades leveraging automation, improved platform features, and refined workflows.
• Assist in shaping the product roadmap by critically evaluating stakeholder demands, challenging less impactful initiatives, and promoting focus on efforts that yield substantial business value.

Applicant Qualifications

• In-depth technical knowledge of Shopify's architecture, capabilities, application integrations, and limitations, along with the ability to communicate effectively with development teams despite a non-developer background.
• Experience handling complex e-commerce scenarios involving multiple integrated business solutions and cross-departmental stakeholders.
• Understanding of website performance optimization principles such as Lighthouse scores, rendering characteristics, and best practices in enhancing speed and efficiency.
• Practical familiarity with AI-powered tools enhancing productivity; experience with automation platforms like n8n is a plus.
• Awareness of data privacy requirements, GDPR regulations, and secure handling of user information in operational contexts.
• Strong analytical skills, ownership mentality, adept prioritization, and the confidence to question assumptions while fostering collaborative relationships.
• Proficient English communication skills required; German language ability is advantageous.
