Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain product master data and lead times within the ERP system.
  • Independently seek quotations, assess offers, and negotiate optimal terms.
  • Manage the full ordering cycle meticulously, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
  • Resolve queries related to material availability, technical concerns, and handle complaints including 8D reports.
  • Review invoices thoroughly and oversee supplier relationships from initial onboarding to onsite audits.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales to assess demand and forecast procurement needs.
  • Ensure supplier designs are compatible with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Qualify new components and suppliers and proactively engage in process improvements.
  • Perform procurement cost analysis, optimize expenses, and conduct risk assessments.

Candidate Profile

  • Education in a technical discipline or completed technical/business vocational training with relevant industry experience, ideally in plant and mechanical engineering.
  • Team-oriented, technically proficient or technology-inclined with a foundational understanding of contract law.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Structured, dependable, self-directed work style complemented by strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Willingness and openness to undertake business travel as a stimulating responsibility.
