Job description
About the Role
Amazon is looking for a highly capable Sourcer Recruiter to support talent acquisition for the North American Operations recruiting team. This role focuses on identifying strong candidates in the US market and contributing to Amazon’s continued expansion by building high-quality talent pipelines.
What You’ll Do
You will partner with recruiting professionals to source distribution and operations talent across the country while supporting a collaborative, service-focused environment. The role requires working in a fast-moving setting and delivering efficient, accurate, and high-quality recruiting support to internal stakeholders.
- Identify and engage passive candidates with a focus on fit, motivation, and profile alignment rather than simply pitching the opportunity.
- Create and nurture talent networks through market mapping, proactive research, and ongoing relationship building.
- Run detailed candidate interviews and help anticipate hiring manager preferences to improve interview-to-offer efficiency.
- Contribute recruitment ideas and long-term sourcing strategies that support company growth.
- Improve and adapt sourcing processes to align with Amazon’s customer-focused quality standards.
- Document sourcing plans with clear milestones, timelines, and tracking methods.
- Use Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, X-ray/open web search, ATS tools, and other sourcing channels to identify remote-site talent.
- Carry out outreach and engagement to build candidate interest and assess suitability.
- Screen candidates by phone and virtually to evaluate qualifications and skill match.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate can manage multiple searches, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines against SLA targets. Success in this role depends on strong communication, a sense of urgency, the ability to push back when needed, and a strong service mindset. Candidates should be comfortable in an energetic, high-volume environment and be recognized for effective candidate generation.
- Ability to balance and close multiple searches within time constraints.
- Experience working with benchmarks, metrics, and service-level expectations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and act quickly.
- Background in sourcing and screening specialized technical talent.
Preferred Experience
Additional value will come from experience in one or two technology hiring areas, such as full-stack, back-end, or front-end engineering, as well as analytics, data science, AI/ML, or data engineering roles. Familiarity with programming languages and technical stacks such as Python, Java, SQL, ETL, data pipelines, Hadoop, Spark, and big data tools is considered useful. Market intelligence and sourcing from targeted organizations are also advantageous.
Location and Working Hours
This is a remote role, with listed locations including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Gurgaon. Working hours are 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST.
Team Overview
You will join the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) team, a central sourcing function supporting WW Amazon Talent Acquisition across Americas, Europe, AMET, and India. The team builds scalable, cost-efficient sourcing solutions for technology, non-technology, and high-volume hiring.
Eligibility and Additional Information
This position requires at least 3 years of corporate or search-firm recruiting or research experience. A bachelor’s degree is expected, though 3+ years of full-time Amazon experience may also be accepted in place of a degree. Experience with an ATS or contact management system is required, along with the ability to build market intelligence for saturated talent pools. Experience handling both high-volume and niche hiring is preferred.
Amazon also provides workplace accommodation support during the hiring process for candidates who need adjustments because of a disability.
