  • Collective ambition: Shared goals are achieved through teamwork and purpose.

Role summary

The Team Member Relations Partner supports the team member relations function by helping maintain a respectful, compliant, and positive workplace across restaurant teams. In this role, you will work closely with People + Culture Business Partners, Operations leaders, and team members to address workplace concerns, assist with investigations, interpret policy, and promote consistent employment practices.

You will act as a trusted resource for both team members and leaders, while helping strengthen an inclusive workplace aligned with CAVA’s values. The role calls for sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive matters carefully.

Key responsibilities

  • Hold intake conversations and assist with investigations involving policy breaches, workplace disputes, performance issues, and other employee relations matters.
  • Prepare clear, timely, and objective documentation of investigations, findings, and recommendations.
  • Work with People + Culture Business Partners and Operations leaders to resolve concerns and support appropriate corrective action.
  • Guide leaders on company policies, procedures, and effective people-management practices.
  • Help manage and track team member relations cases using case management and reporting tools.
  • Review team member relations data trends and identify opportunities for preventive action and process improvement.
  • Support the creation and delivery of training on workplace conduct, respectful workplace standards, and company policies.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as internal policies.
  • Partner with Legal, Payroll, Learning + Development, and HRIS teams when needed to support team member relations work.
  • Protect confidentiality and apply sound judgment when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Contribute to projects that improve the team member experience and reinforce workplace culture.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will bring experience in human resources, employee relations, labor relations, or a related area, preferably within restaurant or hospitality settings. A background in workplace investigations or conflict resolution is preferred, along with familiarity with employment law and HR best practices. Strong relationship-building, communication, organization, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are important, as is the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems is also expected.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary while using a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to identify, review, analyze, and assess details accurately.
  • For some positions, occasional lifting or moving of items up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to move around as needed to support restaurant, food production, or office operations.
  • Ability to stay alert and work safely at all times.

  • Unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave, and paid opportunities to give back to the community.
  • Health, dental, vision, telemedicine, and pet insurance, plus additional coverage options.
  • 401(k) enrollment with company contribution.
  • Company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, and AD&D coverage for salaried positions.
  • Free CAVA food.
  • Casual work environment.
  • Opportunity to join a rapidly expanding brand early in its growth.
