Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for dependable, customer-oriented Team Members to support day-to-day operations in a fast-paced food service setting in Bedford, Nova Scotia. This position is central to delivering friendly service, preparing quality food items, and keeping the workplace clean, safe, and inviting. You will work closely with the team to help ensure smooth service and a great customer experience.

Customer Service

  • Welcome guests in a courteous manner and help them place their orders.
  • Respond to questions about menu items, current promotions, and special offers.
  • Address customer issues in a professional way and work toward a satisfying resolution.

Food Preparation

  • Prepare pizzas and other menu items while following food safety and quality standards.
  • Use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and consistent food quality at all times.

Store Operations

  • Accurately complete customer purchases through the point-of-sale system.
  • Manage cash and other payment transactions responsibly.
  • Assist with stocking inventory and keeping supplies adequately available.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized kitchen, dining area, and restrooms.

Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate well with coworkers to meet operational targets.
  • Help onboard and train new team members when needed.
  • Follow direction from supervisors and management while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Ability to stay productive in a busy, high-energy environment.
  • Careful attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Positive mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Comfort with basic math for handling payments and cash.
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service is helpful, but not mandatory.

Requirements

  • Food Safety Certification is required.
  • English proficiency is required.
  • Must be able to remain standing for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be available for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must comply with all health and safety rules and regulations.
