Role Summary

The Team Leader I will oversee a self-managed, cross-functional team responsible for receiving poultry efficiently and processing specific poultry products to satisfy internal customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and coordinate a multi-skilled team to ensure smooth intake and processing operations.
  • Work with production management to complete and implement the daily production plan.
  • Carry out internal quality and HACCP audits.
  • Recommend process improvements and operational changes that strengthen service performance.
  • Support production and maintenance-related coordination within the team.
  • Help build and improve systems, SOPs, and plant commissioning activities.
  • Perform safety reviews and risk assessments.
  • Manage people effectively and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Use sound judgment to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
  • Communicate clearly in both spoken and written form.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Poultry Processing, Food Technology, or a closely related field.
  • A Supervisory Management certificate is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Internal Audit practices, HACCP, and ISO standards.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a poultry or food manufacturing setting.
  • Practical experience in finalizing and executing the daily production plan with production management.
  • Experience in conducting internal quality and HACCP audits.
  • Ability to suggest and implement process improvements.
  • Exposure to production and maintenance coordination.
  • Understanding of system development, SOP preparation, and plant commissioning.
  • Experience with safety assessments and risk evaluation.
  • Strong people management, team-building, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and communicate well in writing and verbally.
