Team Leader - Aircraft Interiors

Main Objective

Lead and oversee the Interiors Furnishing Shop operations ensuring full compliance with company Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), GCAA CAR Part V, and EASA Part-145 regulations. Uphold safety, quality, and effective maintenance practices while managing team productivity and operational efficiency.

Key Duties

• Manage and supervise daily activities within the Interiors Equipment Shop, ensuring all interior maintenance and refurbishments align with approved technical OEM standards and regulatory mandates.
• Strategically allocate manpower according to workload demands to meet production goals and turnaround times.
• Monitor workmanship quality and establish controls to avoid process deviations.
• Review and authenticate job cards, maintenance records, and documentation ensuring precision and regulatory adherence.
• Maintain availability and operability of tools, equipment, and materials essential for operations.
• Coordinate efforts with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Stores departments.
• Detect operational resource and manpower gaps, providing actionable recommendations to prevent production or turnaround delays.
• Ensure shop tools and special equipment are calibrated, certified, and maintained per regulatory and internal standards.
• Provide support during internal, external, and regulatory audits.
• Foster a safety-first culture and uphold Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards in the Interiors Workshop.
• Train, mentor, and assess team members to certify task execution meets approved procedures, standards, and certification requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing shop efficiency and quality.
• Oversee housekeeping and maintain 5S organizational standards.
• Assist management with capability building and ensuring readiness of the shop to meet maintenance demands.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field; formal aviation quality systems and safety management training is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in aviation maintenance workshops with a supervisory or leadership role in an MRO setting.
• Exposure to regulatory audits including GCAA, EASA, and FAA, and knowledge of MOE compliance.
• Sound understanding of MOE, GCAA CAR Part V, and EASA Part-145 requirements.
• Proven leadership skills in team management, operational risk handling, effective communication, documentation, and decision-making.
• Total experience ranging from 7 to 9 years with relevant qualifications.
• Preferred possession of GCAA/EASA Part-66 License and Company authorizations.
