Team Lead - AVP, Revenue Assurance

Role Overview

This position focuses on underwriting and countersigning cases within assigned authority levels and defined turnaround times. The role also includes supporting branch teams by addressing queries and helping onboard and develop new team members.

Work Context and Key Challenges

The job requires timely underwriting and countersigning of cases according to financial limits and service standards. A major part of the role is handling branch support requests while maintaining quality and speed.

Key challenges include:

• Closing high-value cases within the required turnaround time.
• Managing heavy workloads during peak periods without missing deadlines.

Key Result Areas

1. Case approval and risk control

• Assess applications using the information available and arrive at sound underwriting decisions.
• Countersign cases only within the permitted financial authority.
• Escalate and discuss decisions with senior stakeholders whenever needed.

2. Productivity and team support

• Track workflow regularly to keep tasks moving and ensure completion within turnaround targets.
• Support colleagues in meeting team productivity expectations.
• Maintain service levels for sourced business.

3. Branch query resolution

• Review queries raised by branches and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Share regular updates with branches on case processing through clear communication.
• Act in the best interests of internal customers while addressing concerns.

4. Additional responsibilities

• Complete any other assigned duties accurately and within the agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with the TL to understand tasks and deliver the expected outcome.
