Job description

About the role

This position sits within the International Tax Services / M&A practice in Doha. The role is focused on advising regional and multinational clients on complex cross-border transactions, tax structuring, due diligence, and post-deal integration. You will lead senior client engagements, shape strategic tax solutions, and help organizations align deal execution with evolving international and local tax requirements.

The wider firm operates across 152 countries with nearly 328,000 professionals, and has supported transformation efforts in the Middle East for more than 40 years. In the region, over 12,000 people contribute across Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Line of service

The tax service line advises clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses manage complex tax rules and improve their tax positions.

Business unit focus

The ITS/M&A team supports multinational clients on cross-border transactions and tax structuring. Its work covers merger and acquisition advisory from start to finish, including due diligence, tax modelling, structuring alternatives, implementation support, and integration planning. The team combines technical international tax knowledge with analytics and technology to reduce risk and create value.

What you will do

  • Build and promote thought leadership in international tax structuring, transaction advisory, and post-deal integration across the region.
  • Lead full-cycle M&A tax engagements, covering due diligence, tax modelling, structuring options, and implementation planning for regional and multinational clients.
  • Assess complex international tax rules and local regulations, then convert them into practical strategies and governance approaches for major transactions.
  • Develop tax-efficient structures at a strategic level while coordinating with finance, legal, and executive stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior leaders on regulatory updates, market changes, and the effect on deal strategy.
  • Guide and mentor multidisciplinary teams, maintain quality standards, encourage innovation, and deliver successfully in demanding and uncertain environments.
  • Create and contribute to knowledge assets, training materials, playbooks, and regional best-practice content.
  • Track global and regional regulatory changes and advise clients and internal leaders on their implications for structuring and compliance.
  • Support business development through RFP solution design, statement-of-work development, and pipeline growth across regional and global networks.
  • Advise on outbound transactions, including tax-efficient structuring for investments and expansion into foreign markets, while managing compliance and risk.

What you need

  • Proven background in tax advisory, tax compliance, and international tax, ideally with exposure to Pillar Two matters.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of international tax principles, cross-border structuring, and M&A tax considerations.
  • Practical experience with tax due diligence, deal modelling, and integration planning.
  • Leadership and people-management capability.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and strategic judgment under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays away from the base office when required.

Additional information

Team members are expected to demonstrate the skills and behaviours aligned to the firm’s professional framework. The role may require regular travel and extended time away from the office, depending on client and business needs.

Why this opportunity

The organization offers a career path with competitive pay, broad benefits, well-being support, learning opportunities, digital upskilling, mentorship, and a collaborative culture that values innovation and inclusion.
