Role overview
Nordstrom’s Talent Attraction group is part of the wider Talent Acquisition function and focuses on bringing in top-of-funnel candidates for priority hiring needs. The team uses market knowledge, proactive outreach, and targeted sourcing methods to support full-cycle recruiters in filling critical roles.
This opening is for an experienced Talent Sourcer to support Nordstrom’s Technology organization. The role calls for someone who works well with others, enjoys solving problems, looks for better ways of working, and consistently delivers a strong candidate experience. The sourcer will help build high-quality pipelines of passive talent and partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and team members to attract diverse technology professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Work with full-cycle recruiters and hiring managers to understand technology hiring priorities and turn them into focused sourcing plans.
- Find, approach, and re-engage passive candidates through multiple channels, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, talent communities, and AI-based sourcing tools.
- Create and maintain talent pipelines for technology positions across areas such as software engineering, data science, product, and infrastructure.
- Share market trends and competitive hiring intelligence to shape sourcing strategy and support recruiting partners.
- Monitor sourcing results, analyze performance metrics, and refine outreach and conversion methods over time.
- Keep candidate information and activity records accurate in Workday ATS.
Required experience and skills
- At least 3 years of experience sourcing for technology roles, with a strong history of building pipelines for difficult-to-find technical talent.
- Hands-on experience with modern recruiting tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and Boolean search; experience with Workday is preferred.
- Comfort using AI-enabled sourcing and recruiting tools, along with curiosity about how new technology can improve hiring outcomes.
- Strong analytical ability and the capacity to design, measure, and scale effective workflows between candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to connect with passive candidates and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Location and work arrangement
This is a remote position. Nordstrom can offer remote employment in all U.S. states except Arkansas, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Compensation
Pay varies by location and is influenced by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Annual ranges provided for this role are: California $70,304 to $96,000; Colorado $60,000 to $96,000; Connecticut $60,000 to $96,000; District of Columbia $69,000 to $110,500; Hawaii $60,000 to $96,000; Illinois $60,000 to $96,000; Maryland $60,000 to $96,000; Massachusetts $69,000 to $110,500; Minnesota $60,000 to $96,000; Nevada $60,000 to $96,000; New York $75,000 to $120,000; Rhode Island $60,000 to $96,000; Washington $80,168 to $110,500.
