Job description
About LUPFR Entertainment
LUPFR Entertainment creates distinctive music experiences by pairing carefully selected artists with unconventional venues. Established in 2025, the company works to connect underground music culture with accessible, high-quality events. Its current event portfolio spans Los Angeles and San Francisco and includes yacht parties, boiler room-style events, warehouse nights, and similar productions.
Role Overview
This part-time internship is based in Los Angeles and places you directly alongside the founder. It is an entry-level opportunity in live music production, giving hands-on exposure to everything from artist coordination to execution on event day. Over time, the aim is to develop the right candidate into someone capable of independently managing the show floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Help plan and deliver live music events from the earliest idea stage through wrap-up.
- Manage contractor-related logistics such as load-in coordination, scheduling, vendor communication, and day-of run sheets.
- Support artist and DJ coordination, including participating in artist meetings and acting as an on-site point of contact.
- Organize and update operational materials like timelines, guest lists, production checklists, and post-event summaries.
- Represent LUPFR during events, resolving issues quickly and keeping operations on track in real time.
- Assist with assessing new event ideas, reviewing artist bookings, and maintaining talent pipelines.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is based in Los Angeles and is available for evening and weekend events. They should have a strong interest in live music and the surrounding culture, be highly organized, and be comfortable juggling schedules, logistics, and people. Clear communication is essential, especially when working with artists, venue teams, and contractors. The role also calls for someone who is proactive, self-driven, and able to notice what needs attention without being prompted. Prior exposure to event production, hospitality, music, or entertainment is helpful but not required.
What You’ll Gain
- Practical, hands-on experience in live music events.
- One-on-one mentorship from the founder across talent relations, production, and business operations.
- Work samples and experience that can support future roles in talent management, events, and entertainment.
- Insight into the complete lifecycle of an independent entertainment company as it grows.
- Coverage for event-related and travel costs for off-site events, including round-trip transportation.
- Academic credit may be available for students whose schools support internship credit arrangements.
