About the Role
Convergint is seeking a proactive and motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our thriving team in Calgary. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service by providing comprehensive project support for diverse talent recruitment programs and actively sourcing candidates to meet our hiring demands. Responsibilities
- Actively identify and engage both active and passive job seekers through multiple sourcing strategies to fill open positions.
- Partner with business leaders to design and implement effective recruitment approaches tailored to organizational needs.
- Manage job posting and advertisement processes to attract suitable candidates.
- Conduct screening and qualification of applications to create candidate shortlists.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and assist in preparing interview materials and questions.
- Regularly update management on recruitment status and provide feedback on hiring workflows.
- Develop strong working relationships with Human Resources Business Partners and hiring managers to ensure compliance with recruitment procedures.
- Participate in interviews alongside hiring managers and other stakeholders to facilitate candidate assessment.
- Assist in managing offer letters, including guidance on salary, incentives, start dates, and other relevant details.
- Train and guide managers on talent acquisition best practices, interview techniques, and legal requirements.
- Ensure adherence to federal and provincial regulations concerning employment standards, privacy, human rights, and employment equity.
- Undertake special talent acquisition projects as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years dedicated recruitment experience.
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) certification is advantageous.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and skilled in data analytics and reporting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong expertise in social media recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
