Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee the comprehensive recruitment lifecycle for both technical and professional roles within the company. By partnering closely with hiring managers and business leaders, this position focuses on building strong talent pools, implementing recruitment plans, and delivering exceptional hiring results aligned with organizational workforce strategies. Enhancing candidate experience and boosting the employer’s brand image are critical elements of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR and plant leadership to understand workforce requirements and formulate recruitment strategies covering all staff levels, from direct laborers to professionals.
- Analyze hiring data to forecast future staffing needs and detect any gaps.
- Maintain robust relationships with staffing agencies to address supplementary hiring demands.
- Proactively source qualified applicants through diverse channels including job boards, social media, referrals, and recruitment fairs.
- Establish and nurture talent pipelines for immediate and long-term labor requirements, spanning entry-level to skilled technical and professional categories.
- Forge connections with technical schools, trade bodies, and employment centers to identify prospective candidates.
- Evaluate resumes and applications to assess applicant suitability.
- Conduct phone and face-to-face interviews to appraise technical competencies, experience, and cultural alignment.
- Manage technical assessments and pre-employment tests where necessary.
- Work hand-in-hand with plant managers and department heads to pinpoint role-specific demands and essential skills.
- Keep hiring managers informed through regular updates on recruitment progress and open roles.
- Serve as the main liaison for candidates ensuring a positive recruitment journey.
- Represent the company at job fairs, recruitment events, and networking meetups to attract talent across all organization tiers.
- Support employer branding by communicating company culture, benefits, and advancement opportunities to potential hires.
- Assist HR with onboarding processes such as pre-employment checks, offer distribution, and new employee orientation.
- Compile and analyze recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality to enhance hiring effectiveness.
- Regularly review and refine recruitment practices and tools for increased efficiency.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, labor market shifts, and best practices in talent acquisition.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience managing high-volume recruitment, preferably in a manufacturing context.
- Skilled at sourcing candidates using multiple techniques such as job boards, social channels, fairs, and networking events.
- Capable of adapting rapidly in a fast-moving, dynamic environment responding to evolving workforce needs and company priorities.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral, for effective interaction with candidates, managers, and partners.
- A proactive approach aimed at continuously enhancing talent attraction strategies and recruitment workflows.
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills to work effectively across HR and hiring departments.
