Role Overview

As the Talent Acquisition Partner for Ireland, you will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment across designated vacancies, guiding hiring from initial role briefing through candidate sourcing, selection, offer, and onboarding processes. This role demands a strong partnership with hiring managers and HR leaders to align recruitment strategies with the Irish talent market, enabling confident hiring decisions and fulfilling both immediate and future workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners in Ireland to identify recruitment requirements, workforce gaps, and project staffing priorities.
  • Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for engineering and operations & maintenance positions throughout Ireland.
  • Facilitate vacancy briefings to define search strategies, candidate profiles, timelines, and assessment methods.
  • Recruit for a range of technical, operational, site-based, commercial, and project-driven roles.
  • Utilize SmartRecruiters as the primary system for tracking vacancies, candidates, interviews, offers, and reports.
  • Develop robust candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and talent mapping.
  • Screen candidates based on skills, motivation, salary expectations, availability, location, and work eligibility.
  • Provide hiring managers with clear, relevant shortlists and ongoing recruitment updates.
  • Maintain engaged candidate communication, coordinate interview feedback, and sustain recruitment momentum.
  • Conduct candidate sound checks prior to offers to assess expectations and mitigate risks.
  • Support offer negotiations, candidate closing, and manage escalations as necessary.
  • Build talent communities in strategic Irish markets, including O&M, engineering, transport, water, commercial, project delivery, and early careers.
  • Deliver market intelligence regarding salary trends, competitor activities, and talent availability to aid workforce planning.
  • Assist with employer branding initiatives to communicate Egis’ Irish projects, growth, and career opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a recruiter or Talent Acquisition Partner with strong knowledge of the Irish recruitment landscape.
  • Expertise recruiting in sectors such as engineering, infrastructure, construction, operations, transport, energy, utilities, or related technical environments.
  • Proven ability to handle full-cycle recruitment across specialist technical, operational, project-based, or critical business roles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling effective advising, influencing, and challenging of hiring managers.
  • Proficiency in direct sourcing techniques encompassing LinkedIn Recruiter, talent pools, referrals, job boards, and market mapping.
  • Strong candidate engagement capabilities, including assessment and closing skills in competitive markets.
  • Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems to administer vacancy and candidate workflows.
  • Good grasp of workforce planning, talent pipeline development, and community building.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive, organized, and candidate-centric approach.
  • Experience in sectors such as engineering, infrastructure, utilities, energy, water, nuclear, construction, or consulting is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SmartRecruiters, LinkedIn Recruiter, early careers recruitment, or pipeline-building strategies is beneficial.

Additional Details

This position is based primarily in Ireland with Dundrum as the main office, requiring office presence three days weekly, alongside flexibility to work at other Irish locations like Citywest, Port Tunnel, and various project or operational sites. Maintaining visibility within the Irish business is vital for relationship-building with hiring managers, HR stakeholders, and leadership.

You will join the UK & Ireland Talent Acquisition team, focused on transitioning recruitment from a reactive to a proactive model by leveraging data analytics, market insight, direct sourcing, and talent communities to meet current hiring demands and future growth.
