Role Responsibilities
- Conducting screening calls to evaluate candidates' qualifications, motivation, and alignment with job requirements.
- Scheduling interviews and coordinating with hiring managers and team members for panel setup.
- Participating in hiring manager calls to understand and clarify job openings.
- Helping maintain and format job description templates and recruiting documents.
- Assisting with sourcing and screening resumes to identify suitable candidates for interviews.
- Keeping and updating candidate pipelines and recruiting metrics using spreadsheets, identifying trends as necessary.
- Supporting administrative tasks within the Talent Acquisition team, including drafting professional communications to candidates.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience, managing difficult conversations with sensitivity.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Strong ability to manage time effectively when handling multiple candidate interactions and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for frequent phone and video calls with candidates and hiring managers.
- Highly developed written communication abilities for candidate correspondence and internal documentation.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) to manage candidate data and recruitment metrics.
- Keen interest in pursuing a career in recruiting, talent acquisition, or Human Resources.
- Capable of working independently on a part-time basis (~25 hours per week) with remote coordination.
- Must have legal eligibility to work in Canada or the United States.
