Job description
Role overview
Endura Mining is looking for a Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join its team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This position will own recruitment delivery for the mining site while also helping create recruitment systems and processes that can scale as the business grows. It is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys both building capability and delivering results in a fast-changing environment.
This is a particularly important time to join, as the business is at an early stage of development, has site activity in New Zealand, and is also building a growing corporate team in Sydney. Production is planned within the next 12 to 18 months, and the company aims to expand into a multi-asset operation with 3 to 5 gold and copper projects.
End-to-end recruitment
- Run the full recruitment process for mining, operations, trades, technical, and corporate vacancies.
- Work closely with site leaders to understand staffing needs, roster demands, and operational limitations.
- Identify and approach suitable candidates for difficult-to-fill blue-collar and regional roles.
- Support recruitment drives when large-volume hiring is needed.
- Arrange interviews, site assessments, medical checks, background screening, and offer management.
- Help ensure every candidate has a positive experience that reflects Endura’s values.
Site engagement
- Develop strong working relationships with site leadership and frontline employees.
- Visit mine sites regularly to support hiring activity, learn the roles firsthand, and represent the employer brand.
- Assist operational leaders with workforce planning discussions.
Systems and process development
- Contribute to the design and rollout of recruitment systems, tools, and workflows that suit a startup-style environment.
- Create practical hiring processes, templates, and guidelines.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of an applicant tracking system or other recruitment technology.
- Make sure recruitment practices align with legislation, awards, and site-specific requirements.
Employer brand and continuous improvement
- Help shape Endura’s employer value proposition for both blue-collar and corporate talent.
- Build relationships with labour hire partners, recruitment agencies, training providers, and local communities.
- Represent the business at careers events and industry forums when needed.
- Monitor hiring metrics such as time to hire, quality of hire, and pipeline health.
- Look for ways to improve hiring speed, consistency, and overall quality.
- Support wider People and Culture initiatives as the function expands.
About you
The ideal candidate will already have strong recruitment experience in mining, resources, construction, or another blue-collar environment. You should be comfortable recruiting operational, trade, and site-based roles, and bring experience from a startup, scale-up, or greenfield setting. Exposure to improving or building recruitment systems and processes will be highly valuable.
You will need to be adaptable, organised, resilient, and confident operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced setting. The role also calls for strong stakeholder management skills, especially when working with site leaders, as well as the ability to connect well with frontline teams. Regular travel to mine sites is required.

- Accommodation allowance
- Work bus available from Reefton and Greymouth
- Healthcare for all staff
- Ongoing learning and career development support
- Supportive, safety-focused workplace culture
- Employee wellbeing and assistance programs
