Role Overview

Minor Hotels is recruiting a driven and enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Advisor to join their People & Culture team in the Brisbane CBD Support Office. This role involves attracting and hiring outstanding talent for various hotels and resorts throughout Australasia. Working in close partnership with hiring managers, the advisor will oversee the complete recruitment cycle, ensuring a smooth experience for candidates and managers and providing expert guidance and market insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer strategic recruitment guidance tailored to specific roles and organizational objectives.
  • Create compelling job advertisements and design talent attraction approaches aligned with Minor Hotels' brand identity.
  • Manage the full recruitment process from candidate shortlisting to offer negotiations, with an emphasis on efficiency and a positive experience.
  • Provide advice on salary scales, employment conditions, and industry market trends consistent with company and sector standards.
  • Execute reference checks and assessments to identify candidates whose values and skills match Minor Hotels’ culture and requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the People & Culture team and hiring managers to refine recruitment tactics based on market information.
  • Maintain and optimize the Applicant Tracking System to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and professionalism throughout all recruitment activities.

Additional Information

  • Employment type: Full time, 38 hours per week.
  • Workplace location: Minor Hotels Australasia office, 266 George Street, Brisbane, QLD 4000.
  • Salary range: $80,000 to $85,000 per annum, excluding superannuation.
  • Approved employer sponsor: Minor Hotels Australasia Limited.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience in agency or in-house recruitment delivering high-quality hiring outcomes.
  • Extensive knowledge of recruitment methods, current market trends, and the ability to effectively influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Capable of organizing workload efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, with a passion for learning and contributing to organizational success.
  • A balanced approach that is both independent and collaborative, reflective of Minor Hotels’ partnership-oriented values.
  • Possession of a Human Resources or related qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
