This opportunity is for an Automated CS Planning PhD or Domain Expert position within the Zion (Arches) project.

Role Details

Employment is on a contract basis, with fully remote work and pay in the range of $55 to $80 per hour.

What You Will Do

• Create advanced, high-quality training data for cutting-edge large language models by designing challenging problems in your area of expertise.
• Assess model output and help strengthen AI performance through careful analysis and structured problem solving.
• Partner with AI research teams to improve the usefulness and quality of training datasets.
• Handle work independently and asynchronously while staying aligned with project timelines and objectives.
• Share specialist knowledge in automated planning and symbolic AI to guide future AI development.

Required Qualifications

• A PhD or higher qualification in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Operations Research.
• Strong specialization in automated planning or symbolic AI.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and spoken communication abilities.

Interview Process

• A brief interview plus a task, usually taking around 20 to 30 minutes.
• If selected, onboarding videos and related setup time of up to 1 hour will be paid.
