Sustainability Consultant

About the Role

We are looking for skilled Sustainability Consulting professionals to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This position involves partnering with clients to address their sustainability challenges by developing ESG strategies, enabling sustainability reporting, driving decarbonization efforts, and managing related data effectively. Using data-backed insights and technologically advanced methods, you will help implement solutions that align with clients' sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand their sustainability goals and devise suitable solution strategies.
• Research current trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability.
• Create proposals, business cases, and suggest sustainability initiatives and solutions.
• Document business requirements, user stories, workflow processes, and functional specifications for projects.
• Assist in sustainability reporting and ensure compliance with established ESG standards and frameworks.
• Work alongside technical teams to deploy sustainability and ESG-related technological solutions.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business value derived from sustainability initiatives.
• Conduct demonstrations, workshops, proof of concepts, and presentations for clients.
• Estimate efforts and contribute to project planning and management activities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants regarding sustainability concepts, ESG reporting, and data management techniques.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of ESG principles and sustainability concepts.
• Hands-on experience in sustainability reporting and ESG disclosures.
• Familiarity with major reporting frameworks such as GRI, CSRD, BRSR, TCFD, CDP, and SASB/ISSB.
• Competence in data analysis and sustainability reporting processes.
• Proficient in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of Python for data analytics and automation purposes.
• Strong skills in consulting, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and effective communication.
• Capability to evaluate business workflows and advocate technology-enabled enhancements.
• Understanding of AI-driven solutions and digital transformation initiatives within sustainability projects.

Qualifications

A bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Management, or closely related fields is required.
