About the Role
Urbacon Saudi Company is looking to hire a skilled Surveyor based in Saudi Arabia. The role involves conducting land and property surveys to support construction projects, land management, and mapping activities. The Surveyor will be responsible for delivering accurate data related to boundaries, topography, and land features using advanced surveying technology.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform land surveys using tools such as total stations, GPS, and aerial photogrammetry to establish property lines and site topographies.
- Accurately identify and mark boundaries, easements, and rights-of-way while adhering to legal standards.
- Generate detailed maps, charts, and plats to aid land development, construction planning, and infrastructure projects.
- Provide layout and grading services for construction sites, indicating building placement and infrastructure alignment.
- Establish control points (horizontal and vertical) essential for surveying accuracy.
- Collect and analyze comprehensive survey data, including measurements and field observations.
- Prepare legal documentation such as survey plats, property descriptions, and boundary certifications.
- Carry out quality control checks to verify survey data accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, laws, and company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum five years of total work experience, including at least three years relevant to surveying.
- Prior experience working in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region for a minimum of two years is preferred.
- Technical proficiency with total stations, GPS technology, and surveying software is essential.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Strong foundation in mathematics and survey computations.
- Deep understanding of land surveying principles, practices, and methods.
- Ability to interpret and create engineering sketches, maps, and technical drawings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail ensuring precision.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing surveying activities.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
- Core competencies include resilience, agility, leadership, quality focus, and proficiency in Surveying, Survey Drafting, Infrastructure Survey, Surveying Tools and Equipment, and Topographic Survey at a Level 2 standard.
