Role Overview
An opportunity is available for a motivated Support Worker to join Adult Residential Services at St Laurence, Lota Park, Glanmire, Cork. The post involves working with a committed and forward-thinking team to deliver person-centred support to children and adults with disabilities who use Enable Ireland services.
Employment Details
Contract types include permanent, temporary, and relief. Working arrangements may be full-time, part-time, or variable hours. The salary scale is €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per year. This pay scale is expected to increase in 2026 under the recent WRC agreement relating to enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations. Annual leave is 30 days per year pro rata, with a proportionately reduced entitlement for service under 12 months.

Essential Requirements
- QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Healthcare Support, Social Care, Pre Nursing, Disability Care Skills, or Childcare; or a health-related area.
- Applicants who have completed 3 modules may apply if they provide a written commitment to complete the remaining modules within 12 months of the start date.
- Alternative eligibility includes an SNA qualification.
- Year 1 of a relevant degree in Health and Social Care, such as Social Care, Child Care, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Speech & Language Therapy, is also acceptable.
- A full clean manual driving licence is required, along with willingness to drive company vehicles.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the state.

- Experience supporting people with disabilities.
- Experience working with people who present behaviours of concern.
- Previous involvement in personal care.
- Basic IT proficiency.
