Enable Ireland is seeking a motivated Physiotherapy Staff Grade professional to join CHO 8 Meath CDNT 4 in Dunshaughlin / East Meath. Contract details

• This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
• The role is based onsite.
• Working hours are 35 hours per week.
• The salary range is €42,384 to €61,945 per year, pro rata, with Long Service Increments applicable.
• The pay scale is expected to increase in 2026 in line with the WRC agreement on enhanced pay adjustments for Section 39 organisations.
• Annual leave entitlement is 32 days per year, pro rata.

About the service

The post sits within the Children’s Disability Network Teams under the national Progressing Disabilities Services model. The role focuses on providing physiotherapy support to children and young people aged 0 to 18 years with complex disability-related needs, as well as their families. Care is delivered in an interdisciplinary, family-centred way across a range of environments including clinics, preschools, schools, children’s homes, and community settings.

What the role involves

The successful candidate will contribute to assessment, intervention, clinical supervision, and ongoing service development within a paediatric disability service. The position requires strong collaboration with colleagues across disciplines and a practical understanding of family-centred care in a community-based setting.

Essential requirements

• Applicants must be registered, or eligible to register, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Candidates must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and professional capability needed to carry out the role effectively and to a high standard.
• Proof of registration with CORU must be provided before a contract can be issued.
• Registration must be kept current annually, and confirmation of annual CORU registration must be supplied to Enable Ireland.
• A valid driving licence for the state/jurisdiction and access to a personal vehicle are required so services can be delivered across a wide geographical area.
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the state and should check the relevant employment permit criteria before applying.

Desirable experience

• At least 6 months’ experience working with children with disabilities.
• Experience completing Assessment of Need assessments.
• Experience prescribing and monitoring equipment.
• Experience providing hydrotherapy.
• Background in a community-based setting.
• At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in paediatrics.
• Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
• Experience working with children and their families.
• Paediatric placement experience during undergraduate training.
• Sound professional judgement and behaviour, with a clear understanding of the therapist’s role.
• Good grasp of both theory and practice.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Clear understanding of family-centred service delivery for people with disabilities.
• Evidence of ongoing commitment to continuous professional development.
