Role Overview
The role requires a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to assist aged care clients in Southern Coffs Harbour, with shifts covering areas from Coffs to Woolgoolga on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 7 AM and 7 PM, including willingness to work evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients with personal care needs.
- Offer social support and facilitate community involvement.
- Transport clients to shopping and medical appointments.
- Operate both independently and as part of a team to address client needs.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has a nurturing disposition, effective and empathetic communication skills, and the ability to build rapport quickly. They should be capable of working autonomously or collaboratively, organized, adaptable, and seeking stable, flexible, and meaningful employment.
Essential Requirements
- Willingness to work evening shifts.
- Certification such as Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in aged care.
- Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
- National criminal history check issued within the last three months.
- Experience in aged care support.
