Role Overview

We are looking to expand our team of Support Workers / HCAs to join our residential services based in Wicklow and nearby areas. This role involves providing compassionate, person-centered assistance in residential care settings, helping individuals achieve autonomy and a meaningful life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored person-centered support that encourages independence, self-care, and integration within the community.
  • Collaborate with individuals to establish, review, and realize personal goals.
  • Assist with daily living tasks while upholding dignity, autonomy, and informed decision-making.
  • Support development of everyday life skills and boost confidence.
  • Maintain accurate records and actively contribute to individual care plans.
  • Engage in reflective practices to enhance care quality.
  • Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team initiatives to improve service provision.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication skills in English, proficiency in IT, report writing, and planning abilities.
  • Full, clean driving license (mandatory).
  • Subject to Garda Vetting and able to provide two professional references.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Ireland; no sponsorship available.
  • Deep commitment to safeguarding and adherence to best practices.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Acceptable Qualifications

  • QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support.
  • Pre-Nursing Studies or a recognized Professional Teaching Qualification (excluding TEFL).
  • Family Support Practitioner qualification (minimum Level 6 NFQ).
  • Other equivalent recognized qualifications in social care, childcare, family support, or education.

Compensation

Salary ranges between €29,406 and €32,448 annually, depending on experience.
