Job description

Position Overview

This role is designated for female applicants only due to the nature of providing personal care to women, ensuring the preservation of their dignity and privacy in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

The role involves making a significant impact on the lives of young people who have complex needs, offering person-centred support to individuals living with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health conditions, and other complex requirements. Enthusiasm, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive mindset are essential to excel in this position.

Work Environment

Based at Furlong Close in Rowde near Devizes, Wiltshire, the team supports up to 38 residents across seven bungalows designed to provide supported living arrangements. This unique service is dedicated to enabling individuals to live as independently as possible within their homes and communities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months

Core Responsibilities

  • Encouraging individuals to participate actively in their communities and promoting independence
  • Assisting with daily living activities including personal care, social participation, routines, meal planning and preparation, and budgeting
  • Communicating effectively using preferred methods for each individual
  • Engaging and motivating individuals to improve their quality of life
  • Utilising positive behavioural support techniques when required
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting health or circumstance changes to management
  • Collaborating effectively within a team and independently exercising initiative as needed
