Role summary
This position is for a Support Services Specialist based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is a full-time role focused on hands-on IT support, device management, workplace technology support, and coordination across end users, vendors, and internal teams.
Technical profile
The role calls for strong practical knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting, operating system administration, basic networking concepts such as LAN and Wi-Fi, printers, peripheral devices, endpoint lifecycle tasks, IMAC work, and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or similar tools. Familiarity with audio-visual and meeting room support is also important.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver on-site IT assistance for incidents and service requests that need physical intervention.
- Troubleshoot operating systems and mobile devices running Android or iOS.
- Set up, configure, install, and replace hardware and devices as needed.
- Carry out break-fix support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, and other workplace equipment.
- Manage IMAC tasks, including install, move, add, and change activities.
- Resolve issues that the service desk cannot close remotely.
- Provide priority support for VIP users and coordinate the required follow-up.
- Support meeting room systems, AV equipment, and IT required for events.
- Work with OEMs, hardware vendors, and other third-party service providers.
- Handle walk-in support tasks such as password resets, device swaps, and employee onboarding or offboarding.
- Assist with LAN, Wi-Fi, printer, and peripheral issues through hands-on support.
- Track asset inventory and stock levels, including reconciliation of records.
- Support onboarding, transfers, and exit-related IT activities for users.
- Issue loaner equipment and manage spare devices during break-fix situations.
- Spot recurring problems and contribute to knowledge articles and shift-left improvements.
- Keep users informed with clear updates on progress and expected resolution times.
Skills and strengths

Education and certifications
A diploma in Computer Science or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required. Preferred certifications include ITIL and MS or CCNA certifications.
