Support Operations & Maintenance Engineer - Copper Tube Manufacturing

Job Overview

This role involves operating and maintaining equipment used in copper tube production. The employee will handle machines such as casting, rolling, drawing, grooving machines, level winders, annealing furnaces, and finishing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various machinery integral to copper tube manufacturing processes.
• Monitor production flow to ensure targets are met and detect any abnormalities.
• Troubleshoot and address equipment malfunctions promptly to reduce downtime.
• Conduct quality inspections of intermediate and final products to maintain standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance activities including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs to prevent breakdowns.
• Ensure the availability of spare parts for continuous machine operation.
• Comply rigorously with safety protocols such as wearing protective equipment and following lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance.
• Maintain detailed records related to production outputs, maintenance, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with teams across production and maintenance to manage operations effectively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting and implementing process optimizations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in operating manufacturing equipment and implementing maintenance procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiar with quality control methods and safety compliance standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and proficiency in basic computer usage.
